“From shadow to light” — this piece is more than a surfer in the barrel; it’s a journey of the soul. From the depths of chaos and doubt, we move forward, eyes fixed on the light ahead. With fluid brush-strokes, and by painting a moving wave, I wanted to capture a sense of motion, as if it is continually crashing around the surfer. His shadow can be seen on the face of the wave, blending into the watery surface below him. Every stroke of the ocean mirrors life’s struggles, but within the storm lies beauty, power, and transformation. Out of darkness, we rise. Into the light, we ride. Into His marvelous Light! This is the Scripture that inspired me -“That you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” 1 Peter 2:9
